If you’ve ever tried to back a trailer into a tight parking spot, you know how difficult and frustrating it is. No matter which way you turn the wheel, you just can’t get the trailer to go where it should. However, Ford took notice. Available on the 2016 Ford F-150, Trailer Backup Assist allows a driver to simply turn a knob. From there, the truck’s electronic components take control of the venture, actively braking, steering, and accelerating, thus eliminating the hassle for the driver. If you frequently haul a trailer, this is definitely a technology you need to have.

The EcoBoost Engine

Available on many Ford models, the EcoBoost engine is Ford’s answer to the decision of power versus fuel economy, but without turning to a full-fledged electric car or hybrid. Using Ford’s own patented and highly secretive technology, the EcoBoost takes an engine with smaller displacement and gets it to perform like a larger engine. The big difference, however, is that it also achieves up to 20 percent better fuel economy, as well as a 15 percent reduction of greenhouse gases.

You’ll find many great new technologies in Fords, but words aren’t enough to really experience the impacts made by these advances. The best way to truly understand how advanced these cars are is to go take a test drive today. That way, you can find the best features to add to your Ford wish list.
